The Washington suite was built in 1976 and named after Lady Avant-Washington, whose portrait can be found hanging in the entrance foyer. She and her husband were the previous owners of ‘Langstone Cliff House’, before it was purchased by Stanley and Marjorie Rogers in 1946. It is believed that Lady Avant-Washington was distantly related to Isaac Singer, inventor of the Singer Sewing Machine, and also to George Washington, the first president of the United States.
The Washington Suite is the perfect venue for Weddings, Conferences, Parties, and of course, the Langstone Cabaret weekends.
The Washington Suite comprises of the three areas detailed below, plus the entrance foyer with cloakroom, toilets and lift to the first floor.
The Langstone Hotel is located on the south coast of Devon, right on the doorstep of Dawlish Warren Beach.
